Primary duties include automating corporate Linux workflows including provisioning servers in VMware vCenter using Packer and govc/govmomi, patch management, configuration management, security compliance, and tying together disparate services (Service Now, Slack, Confluence, Site24x7, etc) via RESTful APIs using Ansible, Ansible Tower / AWX. Ensures a centralized, public-key authentication to corporate Linux resources using SSSD and Active Directory. Migrates & deploys server applications to Docker containers where feasible. Maintains and troubleshoots LAMP/LEMP stacks for public facing web services. Work with teammates in infrastructure planning, DR, and hardware upgrades. Performs SAN and Fibre Channel management/deployment as needed. Monitors the environment using Site24x7, and built internal, customized status pages for user-facing services.

This included physical and virtual server deployments, primarily in VMWare ESXi 5.5 and AWS environments using RHEL/CentOS and Ubuntu with AD integration. Automated with Ansible using git as repo for playbooks, monitoring primarily with Zenoss Enterprise and Nagios-based tools. Provisioned and managed systems with Foreman/Puppet. In addition to implementing select Linux hardening guidelines, assisted Infosec team with initiatives including deployment of a Security Onion stack, Nagios LogServer as a SEIM, and Nessus for vulnerability scanning.
