I worked as a reserve officer from 1988 until I retired from the Army in 1996.I was hired in 1996 and did the first 8 1/2 years on Midnight shift.Some of the positions I held while on patrol were:Tactical Team Member for 8 yearsField Training Officer for 6 yearsCertified SFST Instructor for 7 yearsCertified Breathalyzer Operator 7 yearsTactical Flight Officer for the Air One Program for 5 yearsI then spent 1 1/2 years on Day Shift, working with citizens and business owners whom required our help in reporting crimes, property damage, or helping them with a problem. I was then placed in the Community Services Division. Our mission, is to help the Citizens and business owners with in the city anyway I can to make the city a fun and safe place for our families to work, live and play. We do this by getting our citizens and businesses to help support and get involved in the programs we have that help the families here in Central Texas.

Fort Hood Texas

I started my military career by enlisting in the Indiana National Guard as a small arms weapons specialist and was stationed with the Infantry Battalion in Evansville. I graduated at the top of my class which consisted of soldiers from every branch of the service. With only 6 months in the military I was awarded the National Guard Enlisted Soldier of the Year by the governor of the state of Indiana. A few months later I changed over to the regular Army and went into the Air Defense Artillery and was stationed at Fort Campbell KY at, E Co. 1st Bn /506 Inf. I was assigned to SFC Lancaster in the scout platoon until I was reassigned in December1978. Then I spent 8 years in Germany at Zweibrucken Air Base. The rest of my career was spent at Ft Hood 1CD, were I opened and operated the first bayonet course since WW II on Ft Hood or over in Germany at Spangdahlem Air Base, Bitburg Air Base, or Wackernheim.
