My passion for golf course construction was ignited during my tenure with the prestigious Nicklaus Group in Florida. Under the mentorship of industry titan Jack Nicklaus and alongside esteemed agronomists Jon Scott and Dave McIntosh, I became intrigued with the aesthetics and strategies golf course design and maintenance. Working closely with Jack at his home in North Palm Beach, where I managed the surfaces of his personal putting green and grass tennis courts, provided invaluable insights into the intricacies of creating and maintaining world-class courses.The turning point of my early career came in 2010 when I took on the role of grow-in superintendent at the Nicklaus-designed Top of the Rock at Big Cedar Lodge. Leading the construction and grow-in phase of such an iconic course was an exhilarating challenge that further fueled my passion for the craft. Subsequently, I had the privilege of contributing to the evolution of several distinguished courses, including the transformation of the Fazio-designed Branson Creek into the revered Buffalo Ridge, and the collaborative efforts on Gary Player's Mountain Top and Coore Crenshaw's Ozark's National.After managing two successful Senior PGA Legends of Golf Tournaments and then serving as Director of Agronomy at the Pete Dye-designed Chatham Hills in Indiana, I realized my heart yearned for a return to the construction side of golf. This led me to join CapillaryFlow in 2022, where I could leverage my wealth of construction experience to assist courses in their renovation endeavors.
