David brings over 18 years of real estate advisory and principal investing experience, having completed in excess of 300 sales, leasing and principal led transactions. He has been involved in all aspects of commercial real estate, including corporate lease acquisitions and dispositions, build-to-suit projects, building purchase and sale projects, distressed assets/notes, principal investing, financial analysis and consulting. He has transaction experience in hotel, multi-family and student housing investing to name a few. Currently David is a Principal in Avison Young Transaction Advisory / Capital Markets Groups. Prior to AY, he was Senior Vice-President in DTZ / Cushman's Chicago office from 2010 to 2015, David focused on both local and national pursuits, concentrating on the financial services, private equity and family office sectors.Prior to his career at DTZ, David worked in investment banking in New York on the private-equity coverage portion of the business with a focus on real estate. His concentration was on public and private financial sponsored leverage buyouts, recapitalizations, stapled financings and numerous advisory projects and corporate situations.
