I am an ASE Master Technician, with over 30 years experience. My professional career started in a Dodge dealership in Fairfield Calif. When I started my career, in order to become a Master Technician, you had to know all aspects of the dealership, so I like to refer to my early training as "Classically Trained". I invested any free time I had to learn and understand all aspects of the dealership, to earn my Master Technician status, and earning the Top Technician Award for my region for Chrysler Corp. Over the course of the years I have learned and grown and expanded my knowledge not only to be able to diagnosis and repair all systems on a vehicle, but also how to interact with customers and understand their frustrations and needs with the repair process, which I feel helps make me a true Journeyman Master Technician. I left the dealership life, working on one or two car lines, to work at Carmax. it was a very difficult choice, but as it turns out it was the right choice. It allowed me to broadened my knowledge even more by working on all makes and models of vehicles, interact with customers, and continue to grow. Today I am using my skills and knowledge to assist other technicians to diagnosis vehicle concerns at shop across the country to help them identify and resolve tough diagnostic challenges.
