The Porting Specialist's role is to facilitate the fast and accurate transfer of numbers into and out of FluentStream. The Porting Specialist also oversees the administration of number changes internally, such as setting up CNAM and managing phone numbers for internal forwarding purposes.

Greater Denver Area

I was tasked with receiving customers after the sales process and creating a phone system suited to their business. I assessed their needs, asked qualifying questions, designed a phone system around their specifications, and followed a timeline to implement the system per the customer's schedule while expediting the process as much as possible.Most of the time, arrangements had to be made to port the customer's phone number away from their current telecommunications provider and to our own. This required me to send legal documentation to the customer and, after completion, submit it to a carrier for processing.Additional job duties involved analyzing the customer's local network to optimize it for VOIP traffic, as well as proactively detect potential problems within their network before the phone system was fully activated.After the account was live on our system, I took on an account manager role with the larger businesses that had been onboarded, becoming the main contact for further troubleshooting or account modification.

Englewood, Co

I cleaned residential and commercial air ducts by using large, gasoline-powered vacuum machines and high pressure air tools. This involved lifting 50ft lengths of large tubing into basement furnace rooms, cutting into the duct work using metal sheers, and fastening a special clamp to hold the hose in place. I then went to each vent and cleaned it with a drill brush and high pressure air wands. While working, service techs also had to take particular care to not disturb the customer's home.

Thornton, Colorado

I performed routine maintenance and repairs on home water treatment equipment, deducing a variety of mechanical and plumbing issues. I had to clearly explain to customers the nature of those issues, as well as requirements for maintaining their systems. Occasionally, I upsold customers to replace their aging equipment with new models. I installed that equipment by rerouting household plumbing under appropriate municipal codes. Lastly, I had to keep an inventory of supplies and parts on my work van as to be prepared when at a customer's home.

Norfolk, Virginia Area

Delivered product quickly and safely to customer's homes. Answered phones and took incoming orders. Assisted in daily prep of product before shift and cleanup at the end of shift.

Performed cashiering duties. Took returns and exchanges. Placed online orders through proprietary ordering system. Checked stock in local inventory and in stores throughout the country. Checked membership status of customers using various search programs. Provided product reviews and recommendations. Unloaded product from weekly shipments. Processed product to be either organized into warehouse or stocked into store.
