I was recruited to deliver oversight and supervision of day to day operation of a diamond drill exploration division and mud rotary dewatering drilling group where I was involved in daily rig operations including monitoring cost and performance, mentoring third party and contract employees, and leading safe team operations throughout drilling phases. A few of my accomplishments include the evaluation of cost standards and implementation of improvements that reduced bit costs by 50% and improved bit life by 70%, developed and implemented safety awareness communications between workers and management resulting in a 100% accident free work environment, and implemented controls and technical training on mud usages, safe drilling techniques and proper inventory controls reducing material cost 45%.

Houston Texas

I was retained by Remedial Construction Services to lead the day to day operations of a large diameter soil mixing division drilling 5’, 8’ and 10’ diameter DSM columns for soil remediation and soil solidification where I generated documentation including time keeping, logistics control, correct preventative maintenance procedures and repairs to equipment, work reports and daily reports.During my tenure I completed several deep soil mixing project on time and on budget, supervised the implementation of HSE safety and training of drilling and heavy equipment operators, as well as worked closely with management to develop operational plans to ensure the highest work standards and to minimize hazards.

La Serena Chile

My responsibilities as Operations Manager included staff oversight for all aspects of operations for a large diameter water well drilling company where I oversaw the installation of wells and development process of each constructed well with an average diameter of 30” with depths to 1300’. In addition I supervised construction of water wells utilizing DTH casing advance methods with diameters ranging from 6’ through 12”. Over time I recommended measures to improve performance, and quality, resulting in a drilling cost reduction of 15% and created and implemented advanced tooling for water well drilling flooded reverse and conventional mud rotary.

Peru

I was hired to oversee the daily operations, budgeting, safety, compliance, personnel and staffing needs of a 300 man contract core drilling, reverse circulation and water well division based in Lima Peru servicing the Country’s mining industries. During my tenure I developed and implemented project developmental action plans for SAFE efficient execution of all drilling activities, client relations, design and fabrication of required tooling and managed the quality for multiple projects by providing trouble shooting expertise and resolving project related problems for 15 machines working throughout Peru. In addition I developed and stabilized client relations to increase business opportunities within the Country, reporting directly to the zone manager.

Panama

As Project Forman I was responsible for planning and scheduling assigned work for optimal distribution, staffing and efficiencies and consistently achieved deadlines, quality control goals, and productive relations in Panama and Colombia on geotechnical drilling and core drilling including helicopter supported and skid projects. I prepared and analyzed reports focused on progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions on assigned projects, scheduled safety meetings for employee safety enforcement and compliance, and ensured inventory control needs are consistently met by improving and developing inventory management process and procedures.
