My position as Project Manager meant i was responsible for the planning, organising, installation & commisioning & handover of Integrated Security systems, Including CCTV, IP CCTV, Intruder Alarms, Access Control, Fire Alarms, Disabled Refuge & Intercoms. Running a team of engineers and Sub-Contractors for Large Project installations up to the value of 500k.Responsible for Health & Safety Risk assesments, Job Planning, Audits & Handover Documents.

My position as lead technical engineer meant I was responsible for support for 26 Service engineers & 18 Installation engineers under me covering a large area within the Midlands & East of the UK , Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk & North & East London. I maintained an approachable relationship with everyone and encouraged individual development for the good of the team.Key Skills:• False Alarm Management – incorporating a working knowledge of ACPO and on site meetings with local constabulary representatives to negotiate URN reinstatement.• Asked to attend the national meeting for FAM progression.• Calibration of multi-meters and test gear.• Identify required Training and carry out for all engineers.• Creating and distributing Local & National Technical Memorandums for Engineers.• Technical presentation at Team Talks – bringing colleagues up to date with current issues resolved by myself, or researched from questions raised by others.• Assist manager with technical customer problems.• Provide on site investigations and submit detailed technical reports and practical solutions.• Carry out hand over with customer and contractors, ensuring the best quality result for the customer and Romec, which was often recognised and led to a good business relationship with the customer.• Perform NSI audits; instruct engineers on best practise, training, and maintain good service level. Ultimately reducing faults and improving customer service quality.• Service and installation of the main disciplines CCTV, Intruder Systems, Access Control, Smoke Systems in accordance with regulated practises like NSI, DD243, PD662.• Carry out and manage project work within the specified target dates and requirements.• Cover other engineer duties when required to maintain SLAs – area service and reactive work.• Investigate problems identified by other engineers who are not capable of finding a solution.
