ACHIEVEMENTS Using the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodology, I created fully inclusive CloudFormation stacks to build SAP infrastructure in AWS. This approach avoided the need for any manual configuration and allowed for many repeatable builds of the development environment during the testing phase. It also resulted in a fast and reliable production environment deployment. This enabled increased performance and reduced incidents in the SAP environment.Due to growing ERP data I implemented an IBM V7000 Gen 2 SAN with compression and migrated approximately 11TB of SAP data from the previous storage. This was done while systems were operational, keeping downtime to a minimum and dramatically reducing storage costs.I assisted in the migration of SAP from an in house data centre to AWS allowing the business to move away from data centre management.Created an AWS tagging utility to ensure AWS resources have the correct tags enabling the management of costs. The utility uses the AWS serverless application framework, specifically - Lambda (Node.js), SNS, CloudWatch and CloudTrail.Migration of VMware VM’s to AWS using CloudFormation to build stacks for each application.
