Responsible for managing 62 staff in eight regional offices, an annual turnover of £2.1m and an annual conservation volunteer base of 6000+ volunteers. Employed to oversee and manage all of BTCV’s activities in Scotland, and latterly International Sustainable Tourism & Development, as well as provide strategic leadership for BTCV. Member of BTCV UK Senior Team and leader of BTCV Strategic Plan development.

Responsible for managing 7 staff in three project teams establishing and promoting a strategic approach to the conservation, management and enhancement of the city’s natural heritage, including the production of the Edinburgh Biodiversity Action Plan and Chair of the Edinburgh Biodiversity Partnership. Identified and assessed a network of green spaces, Community Woodlands, Wildlife Sites and wildlife corridors across Edinburgh. Represented the Planning Authority in planning inquiries, appeals, etc.
