David is a senior manager with over 20 years’ experience in business and technology across numerous sectors. Roles have encompassed management of large scale business change projects & programs, product management & development, and strategic planning.David has both an ability to think strategically combined with a strong focus on execution which has seen a long list of achievements over his career, spanning numerous countries & organisations. Current role is managing the Strategy, Projects, Products, Training & Development functions at UDC Finance, NZ’s largest Finance company and subsidiary of ANZ Bank. With over $2.5B in lending assets David and his team have played a central role in driving the business forward to record sales & profit performance.Prior to joining UDC David spent 3 years on the merger of Auckland Council, arguably the largest organisational merger in New Zealand history, where amongst other achievements he developed a strategic IT program to deliver to the needs of the council planning department who had been tasked with delivering a completely refreshed set of spatial, developmental and financial plans for Auckland. Other highlights in New Zealand included leading the delivery of the program to merge Progressive Enterprises New Zealand into Woolworths Australia, where his proved his ability to manage a complex program of interlinking technical deliveries.10 years in Europe preceded this with roles across 5 countries forming a key member of the project team that implemented unified core systems across the Daimler Chrysler Finance businesses.
