As a member of the Pre-Sales team, I am responsible for the design and preparation of Tender’s and Quotations of Electronic Security and Life Safety Systems. Duties Include: • Design & preparation of quotations to relevant BS & NACOSS criteria. • Advise clients on the most suitable system/solution to meet their needs. • Liaise with end users, contractors and consultants • Attend meetings and take part in presentations with the sales team • Provide technical back up in a competent and professional manner

Managing large national accounts, visiting branch offices, building relationships and maximising sales from those accounts. I was also responsible for building market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business opportunities. Duties Included: • Business development and support to companies engaged in the sale of Video Surveillance systems. • Achieve and take ownership / responsibility for specific and agreed sales targets and goals. • Ensure / maintain customer service / satisfaction and ethical business relationships. • Provide a systems level architecture “design” service for clients, including tender clarification and quotation.

As Design Engineer I am responsible for design and preparation of Tender’s and Quotation’s for Fire Detection and Alarm, Access Control, Intruder Alarm, CCTV, PID’s, Intercoms, Cell Call, General Alarm, Nurse Call, Disabled Toilet & Disabled Refuge Systems, both as standalone and integrated, utilising company products and third party systems.Duties Include:• Design & preparation of quotations to relevant BS, NACOSS & NOMS criteria• Advise clients on the most suitable system/solution to meet their needs.• Liaise with end users, contractors and consultants• Attend meetings and take part in presentations with the sales team • Provide technical back up in a competent and professional manner• Undertake site surveys • Development of system design in a post order capacity to aid the Project Management Team• Achieve margin enhancement through value engineered solutions

I was promoted to Team Leader, a company restructure involving moving this level of the design team to another UK location meant I was unable to continue with the role and went back into the role of Design Engineer in 2009.In addition to the role of Design Engineer, Duties Included:• Leading a team of six design engineers and two Cad operators• Production of reports in an accurate and timely manner to the management team • Review clients requirement and assign to appropriate team members based on individuals strengths and skill sets• Development of team• Identification of contractual terms and conditions which has the potential to put the business at risk
