I am currently acting Bakery Team Leader as my Team Leader is on out on medical leave. I am responsible all aspects for 10+ team members in the Bakery. I coordinate, with the payroll administrator when I need to hire new team members, I interview them, negotiate salary, train them, supervise them and provide disciplinary action when necessary. I make the schedules for my team and I approve paid time off. I nurture any learning and interest they may have while providing a safe and productive environment for them to flourish. I am also responsible for ordering all of the products and packaging that we use in our department through online and phone ordering systems. I coordinate with vendors in order to bring new products into my department. I communicate with regional management through e-mail and conference calls as well as store management to offer suggestions and make them aware of any troublesome issues with products.

I was an administrator responsible for payroll and benefits in this location. My main duties consisted of: ensuring punctuality and accuracy of payroll for all employees at my location, posting job openings on various job boards and phone screening applicants, sending official documents as a representative for our location, arranging meetings with phone screened applicants and managers of the department they applied for, providing detailed benefits information and explaining these benefits so my coworkers could better understand them and reimbursing team members for personal expenses used that were related to their work duties. During this time I was also trained to be a Shift Leader and given the responsibility to be in charge of the store when the managers left for the day.

I make sure all necessary tasks are performed for the closing shift in the produce department at Whole Foods Market in Charleston Massachusetts. I inspect product, display product, lead customer service in the department, clean and sanitize, log temperatures and completed cleaning tasks and provide advice and counsel to my produce team members and other team members in the store. I also provide communication between the night and morning crews and my assistant team leader and my team leader, as well as the store team leader.

I organize, arranged and display products in both the receiving and front-end display parts of the store.I also became very knowledgeable about many produce items, this includes produce production, distribution, quality checking, and a variety of recipes and uses for many produce items.I have learned more about organic farming and organic produce and as I have more experience than many people there I have taken on a leadership role to those who are newer to produce work.
