During my career in various systems based roles, both in a doing and managing capacity, I've gained most satisfaction by involvement in large and complex implementation or change projects. I enjoy the process of working out how to get from A to B, planning the work and then performing or managing the tasks through to delivery.In many of my roles and the projects I've worked on, my focus has been on data related activities such as data migrations, bulk data change projects, reporting or developing interfaces with third parties. I have gained experience in both Oracle and SQL Server environments and made extensive use of SQL, PL/SQL and T-SQL. I have also had responsibility for migrating and developing reconciliation solutions for large Pensioner Payroll implementations.In my recent role I was tasked with planning and delivering a data migration for a +120,000 member pension scheme with its own unique and complex rules and regulations. The role involved designing, developing and executing a data migration solution whilst working closely with other project work streams and IT suppliers to ensure a holistic solution was delivered.My aspirations are now to participate in other equally interesting and challenging projects.
