Dave Lunt is the President of The John Dawson Foundation. With a career in Hospitality spanning 24 years, most recently as President & CEO of Scottsdale Plaza, Resort & Villas. He first joined The Scottsdale Plaza Resort in 2004, assuming the controller and CFO duties and was promoted to Vice President of Finance & Administration in 2006. In 2011 he was promoted to SVP/CFO. In 2014 he was promoted to President & CEO overseeing operations of the Resort while maintaining responsibilities as CFO. Dave successfully restructured the property’s past debt navigating through the CMBS world, implemented a property improvement plan working with a great team achieving above market results in RevPAR growth, guest satisfaction scores and NOI growth consistently outperforming its competitive set in 6 consecutive years as an independent property. He led the company’s executive committee and its management team with direct oversight including key departments within the hotel including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Accounting, HR, and IT.Dave was also responsible for all financial activities of the company, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecast, cash management, investing, property/liability insurance and employee benefits including health & 401k plans.His leadership style is based on putting people first and empowering them to bring their true selves to work.
