Served as an institutional representative and steering committee member to the Coalition of Colorado Campus Alcohol and Drug Educators (CADE). Served as Chair of the Campus Alcohol and Other Drug Advisory Coalition. Coordinated campus efforts in a social norming campaign funded by the Colorado Persistent Drunk Driving Committee and the Colorado Department of Behavioral Health. Planned, presented, and evaluated a SAMHSA-funded Town Hall Meeting with campus and community attendees. Implemented a pre-matriculation education course on alcohol for all new students.

Supervised and directed all activities of the Meadows Center for Health Resources (MCHR) and Substance Abuse Resource Center (SARC). Served as the institution’s designated Alcohol and Other Drug Coordinator. Supervised 1 full-time Student Services Representative, 2 Graduate Assistants, 6 student employees, and interns from the UNT Social Work Department and the UNT and TWU Health Promotion Departments. Provided and supervised direct student assessment and intervention services for mandatory referrals. Achieved institutional compliance with the Drug Free Schools and Communities Act (DFSCA) and authored the institution’s 2008 Biennial Review and 2010 Biennial Review documents. Managed all Student Health and Wellness Center (SHWC) strategic planning and annual reporting duties. Submitted, maintained, managed, and reconciled departmental budget of $127,000.

Developed program strategic plan and sustainability planning for the Health Promotion and Substance Abuse Program and Student Health Services. Implemented a pre-matriculation education course on alcohol for all new students.

Provided one-on-one, small group and environmental health, wellness and substance abuse prevention interventions to university students. Supervised peer education program and related student employee staff. Supervised and provided HIV screening services. Designed environmental-management campaigns, including the nationally recognized Make Tailgating Yours program to decrease unhealthy alcohol use at pre-game events.

Provided peer-based HIV-screenings and related counseling anonymously to students, designed and provided educational programs on health and wellness and performed general clerical duties.

Performed complete psycho-social assessments and discharge planning for patients in the emergency department, regional burn unit, and physical rehabilitation unit toward internship required for UNT Social Work program and state license requirements.

As part of a national effort to prevent violence among and against youth, selected and served as one of 16 members of the National Youth Action Council (NYAC). Later, hired on to assist with operations of the NYAC, Academic Advisory Council (AAC) and general office operations. Assisted with conference and meeting planning, including a donor and policy-maker luncheon with remarks by President William J. Clinton on September 14, 2000.

Part-time employment. Assisted in the design and distribution of marketing materials for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender youth (13-24) in Washington, DC and the metro-area. Co-edited publication of youth testimonials for distribution to donors. Performed general clerical duties.
