Strategize with writers and fellow editors on how to shape coverage over time.* Write features and website content ranging from 700-word analysis pieces to 4,000-word enterprise features on topics such as elections and legislative issues.* Manage freelance contributor network payment schedule, in coordination with accounting and other editors, staying within the weekly budget.Senior Editor, May 2017 – August 2022* Conceived and executed daily political coverage, managing five reporters – three focusing on Congress, one covering 2022 midterm campaigns, and another on general assignment stories.• Planned both deadline and longer-term coverage of the 2020 presidential campaign.
