About David Marusic

With a passion for science and technology, my career has guided me through working with uranium ores in my hometown of Sydney, to the Pilbara iron ore mines, then across to central Queensland coal, and now back to my home town to manufacture radiopharmaceuticals.ANSTO Nuclear Medicine is a brand new, state of the art, facility that cost $169 million, aiming to supply 25% of the global demand for a critical isotope, Molybdenum-99 (Mo-99). Mo-99 is the base material used in 80% of all nuclear medicines, helping to diagnose cancers, lung disease and other conditions. I have been involved with the project from early commissioning days, through to ongoing production, and the current scaling up of supply.Working in a highly regulated environment, I have developed many skills to operate a world-class facility, to comply with production procedures, GMP, ARPANSA, ISO and ASNO regulations and guidelines.I have a strong approach to safety, with varied experiences of Plant Operator, as well as Health and Safety Representative for highly regulated industry.

Listed skills include Nanoparticles, Afm, Chemistry, Mining, and 20 others.
