I was working in a 3 man rescue crew on board the Borgholm dolphin during a 4 week period while the rig was undergoing refurbishment. Our tasks were to set up rescue plans for the scaffolders who were building scaffold over the side of the rig and in the ballas tanks for other work to be carried out.

This project was a major 8 week refurbishment of a semi-submersible drill rig. The main tasks involved rope access and blasting/painting on the transocean barnets platform. Grit blasting various parts of the platform to sa 2 1/2. I also used hand preparation and hand painting to the specification on the job sheet. Using 2 pack paint system.

Work scope -viaducts and bridge inspections Working on various sand stone viaducts, doing coring, putting in and grouting anchors. Also setting up a cable system to hang a basket todo masonry repairs and stitching in the arches. Also steel work inspection checking for corrosion and grit blasting the damaged areas to standard of sa2, then re spraying to protect from the elements.

I was working on various geo jobs in england, duties were de vegging rock face, cutting anchors that were to long, rolling out mesh down the face, spannexin mesh together, putting on spike plates, and general rope techniques, rigging, different knots, passing knots, rope transfers.

Work scope-platform renewals Duties were taken out the old copes and building in new ones, lower or high depending on the height from the rail to cope, then replacing old tac tiles at the back of the cope.
