I lead the Education Team and work alongside families seeking school placement advice and support. I am the strategic lead for our tutor recruitment and on-boarding process and, alongside Melissa McBride (co-founder of Sophia), provide superior customer care, knowledge and educational advice to our clients.

My responsibilities include:Head of the Senior SchoolHead of pastoral Issues and senior safeguarding leadLiaising with senior schools with the transition of our students to A'LevelDirector of StudiesCreating Timetables for the whole school; this also includes duties and coverIn charge of the Gifted and TalentedTraining and Appraising all the Senior Staff: performance management and observing lessons.Recent training has included sessions on AFL, marking and assessing and using a virtual learning environment.Teaching ICT and RS GCSE - these have been the top two GCSE subjects at this school seven years running. ICT constantly scoring 100 A*\A grades. RS constantly scoring 85% A*\A grades.Nominated for outstanding teacher of the year three years ruining for the Cognita Awards.Classified as an outstanding teacher for the last thirteen years at Long Close for all lesson inspections. In the last inspection the school was classified outstanding in all areas. My use of AFL in my marking and my teaching were highlighted in the report as 'outstanding'. The management team (which I am part of) was also classified as 'outstanding'.

In charge of the RS and ICT Departments.My teaching was classified as 'outstanding' in all inspections during my ten years there.RS was the top subject at Common Entrance for my last nine years there. The vast majority of the students were awarded the top grade of 'A'. I also taught RS scholarships to some of the top schools in the area: Eton, Hampton, Wellington, Bradfield, St.Paul's etc.100% of the students achieved their CLAIT (level 1) and CLAIT PLUS (level 2) certificates by the end of Year 8.Editor of the school magazineSports coach - won many trophies at U13 and U11 level in football and rugby.Head of Athletics - many of the students won county and national cups.Director of Drama: Plays have included: Oliver!, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Whistle Down the Wind, My Fair Lady, Guys and Dolls, The Jungle Book
