This role consists of delivering projects for internal departments as well as external clients and includes the following.Producing high and low level design documentation.Producing a Migration Plan and taking the project through change managementDelivering the project according to planThe last few months work has mainly consisted of migrating applications from a London based datacenter into Azure. This has required the following,• Design Documentation• Templating and scripting new servers• Ensuring SCCM, AV and inventory client functionality• Custom SolarWinds application design.

PC Harrington is a premier construction company who specialises in large concrete structures that take many months and often years to complete. They have around 650 IT users and have constructed buildings like Wembley Stadium, The Pickled Gurkin and is currently working on the Olympic Village. I was contacted by a director and asked to stabilise the systems and expand the IT systems and staff.I am responsible for the IT systems and the IP Phone/Blackberrys for the six companies within the group. My responsibilities include being highly IT proficient, maintaining, procuring and upgrading the IT systems, managing up to 6 IT staff.To date I have achieved the following.• Recent consolidation and virtualization for 90% of existing servers onto VmWare based system using HP Blade servers and SANs. • Installed a Disaster Recovery system.• Installed an automatic Software Update Server.• Installed and configured an effective antivirus system• Installed and configured antispyware system• Installed a spam and web filtering • Managed IP Telephony Project• Replace and manage firewalls.• Manage site to site VPN links for satellite sites• Set up Terminal Servers and VPN for remote users.• Installed a help desk system where users can log and track calls.
