Responsible for leading the programme of change for the marketing plan from 3-year planning to in year delivery, with a focus on production innovation, managing the process from idea generation, to planning to delivery into market. Role was hugely cross functional, needing to ensure plans were appropriately resourced and prioritised across the business to deliver successful outcomes. Owner of the stage and gate process for projects and for the key decision-making forums to deliver timely decisions and direction. Key achievements include implementing an annual planning cycle for the marketing team with key milestones to align to the wider business planning cycle timings; and leading a cost optimisation focus across the marketing team through training to increase understanding on cost make up of products and impacts of future investment choices, with the output a 3-year pipeline to reduce cost and boost gross margin.

Management of the full P&L, owning reporting and analysis and chairing UK leadership meetings to review performance and focus on delivery of plans with interventions and decisions made where needed. Partnered the UK managing director and led a finance team of 12 covering commercial finance, accounts receivable and pricing and promotions strategy. Implemented monthly reporting to include business product category segmentation for more succinct performance understanding and ran the 3-year strategy planning process, presenting plans to the board. Key achievement was increasing investment in priority marketing activations through strong P&L performance and management, which also enabled the funding of opportunities across the wider business.
