My role with the Z Zurich Foundation has adapted with the Foundation's strategy, expanding from working with flood resilience (a climate change issue) to seeking ways to take that learning to other climate related hazards too. Our strategy has seen us successfully deliver our Flood Resilience Program (through the Zurich Flood Resilience Alliance) and impact over 3.1 million people by the end of 2023 - leveraging $1.26bn of more effective adaptation funding. This alliance has developed into the Zurich Climate Resilience Alliance (www.ZCRAlliance.org) where we have a 12 year ambition to impact significantly more people, partly trhrough our own work and partly by working in partnership with others across the public and private sectors. We are also looking to engage Zurich and its stakeholders actively through climate resilience work in places where Zurich has a presence.My other passion is to change the way in which funders and recipients interact - seeking to promote truly collaborative change which transforms lives.

United Kingdom

As we enter into a 2nd phase of the Zurich Flood Resilience Program, we have expanded our Alliance to 8 partners, all focused on enhancing communities and business' ability to thrive in the face of increasing flood risks. Creating synergy across diverse partners; encouraging take up of our learning by others; and driving significant additional investments into development that is resilient (and resilience that supports development) provides me with a new challenge. It also enables me to meet a personal goal to relocate back to the UK, where I have been based since April 2019.

Zurich

The Z Zurich Foundation works with people and communities to build a better, more resilient future by helping them to understand and protect themselves from the risks they face. My role was to manage all aspects of the Foundation - from governance to the community impact of the global flood resilience work, through the catalysing impact of our local grants program - a program aimed at helping kickstart local Zurich business's community investment approaches in their own communities, as part of the development of corporate responsibility strategy. Zürich Area, Switzerland

As part of Zurich's global Corporate Responsibility Strategy, this role involves working closely with Global community partners and local Zurich businesses to develop flood resilience programmes in countries of strategic interest. With around CHF 50 million to invest over five years, we aim to positively impact local communities. Our aim is to become the "go-to" place for all things related to floods - whether that is the development of knowledge and understanding; improved risk mitigation services or community development.

Chennai Area, India

Working with Zurich Community Trust in the UK to manage their unique community development programme with Indian NGOs. From May 2005 to August 2009 on a full-time basis; from August 2009 to December 2012, working part-time alongside my role with The Banyan. The Zurich model has evolved into a scientific capacity development tool. Each year we run a Capacity Audit, assessing the capacities of our partners and identifying areas for improvement. We then target core funding support and expert volunteering from employees in the UK to help with developments.

Responsible for the development of Sales Managers and their advisers, specifically Consultancy Sales Techniques, Negotiaton, Influencing, Change Management, Data Analysis, Developing and Coaching others. Plus various technical training.

Chennai Area, India

The Banyan has a mission to transform the face of mental health services across India. It does this by showcasing models of care that work. My role was to support the organisation's development to a position where it is sustainable and could be replicated. Based in Chennai, South India, alongside my family.
