I have worked in construction/construction related industries for over years, developing surveying, estimating and planning skills which have enabled me to reach my current position as Senior Project Manager at Greystar.I have successfully managed multiple sites with multiple contractors refurbishing student rooms averaging 2200 rooms over the 7 week summer period, whilst also managing the remodelling/refurbishment of amenity spaces within a live environment.In the course of leading, multi-disciplinary project teams to control workforce (both direct and sub-contract) I have achieved completion on time and maintained profit margins with fair and firm direction. I attribute these successes to thorough planning and programming prior to start and good communication throughout the project, followed by regular progress reviews together with event and cost control during the project. Practical: A Good knowledge of all building trades, both modern and traditional techniques and methods.Planning & Forecasting: The preparation of contract programmes, including bar charts, method statements, resources and monitoring progress.Labour Resourcing: Recruitment and deployment of direct and indirect labour, including selection of Site Management and ConsultantsSub Contractors & Suppliers: The submission of enquiries and selection of Sub Contractors and suppliers for individual contracts.Health & Safety: Familiar with C.D.M., COSHH, RIDDOR and general health and welfare regulations applicable to the construction industry.Co-ordination & Organisation: The responsibility for the co-ordination of design teams, multiple sites, team meetings, direct and subcontract personnel.Plant: Familiar with most site plant requirements, i.e. tower cranes, mobile cranes, JCBs compressors, forklifts, telehandlers, dumpers, hoists etc.
