Oil and gas exploration professional of 45 years. Began in mud-logging, rough-necking and derrickman; graduated to wellsite geologist, prospect generator and play-maker, enjoying success with major oil and gas discoveries in the North Sea, Dubai, China, Australia, Indonesia, New Zealand. Chief Geologist of ARCO from 1991 to end of 1999, during which time the company's international reserves increased from just 100MMBOE to almost 1.3 billion. In 2000, founded Petroleum Development Associates, now Serica Energy, publicly listed on London AIM. Left Serica in 2003 to provide consulting services to Roxanna Oil, then to new start-up: Salt Creek Petroleum LLC, and to Matador Resources Company. Worked with Matador as the head of exploration and geosciences from November of 2007 until April of 2015 at which point retired from role as executive officer in favor of part-time role as "Special Advisor". During time at Matador, Company's daily production increased from 4.0 MMcfe/day to over 16,000BOE/day and reserves jumped from 30 Bcfe to over 70 million BOE. Company has since continued to expand production and reserves at a spectacular rate based on the plays established during my tenure. While at Matador I was also one of the management team that took the Company public in 2012, since when, the Company has enjoyed spectacular growth. At the current time I am focused on developing Salt Creek Petroleum and Salt Creek Resources' assets in conventional fields in onshore Texas. I am also available for select consulting assignments. Throughout my professional career I have always maintained a strong interest in the visual arts, in particular outdoor photography.
