I have the pleasure of leading a seasoned staff of professionals in a very unique senior living community in downtown Greenwich, CT. The community is a non-profit organization whose roots go back to the mid 1940's when Nan Rockefeller wanted to start a program of arts and cultural activities for seniors in Greenwich. Between 1970 and 1980 a residential 4 story building was added to the program and currently has 85 apartments of various sizes. Later on a Assisted Living Services Agency was added to allow seniors to age in place longer. It is a vibrant community where residents can walk a half block to Greenwich Ave shops and cafes. Many of our residents have lived here for 10-15 years now.

Duties included recruiting 5500 geographically and ethnically targeted census workers throughout the 27 town region. Achieved all goals related to recruiting, hiring and training in "hard to count" areas. Managed a fast paced production schedule while finishing all major operations ahead of schedule and below budget. Duties included extensive community outreach and public relations campaigns to garner interest and participation in the Decennial Census.

Provided executive leadership and management at a 116 unit assisted living community. Team building and culture development were primary responsibilities in this role in a demographically challenged market. In this position I was frequently engaged in crisis intervention and family meetings. A staff of 85 associates complements this community.

Responsible for the overall strategic positioning of this company which provides a wide range of complex case management services and predictive modeling tools to health plans throughout the nation. Successfully re-focused and re-positioned the company in its markets while leading to substantial top and bottom line growth.

Responsible for the migration of managed health care strategies to emerging opportunity markets in Europe, Latin America, and Asia.Duties included partnership development with insurance, pharmaceutical, and statutory authorities as well as the recruitment, hiring, and training of local nationals to staff our joint venture companies.

After Value Health's acquisition of Preferred Health Care, I assumed responsibility for the continued development of a diversified managed health care company serving the property casualty and group health sectors.In less than two years, this unit of became one of the major national players in the workers compensation marketplace. Products ranged from specialized claims management, to clinical provider networks, loss prevention/loss control, and extensive case management.This was one of the first managed care companies to offer combined managed care programs for workers compensation and group health.

the first behavioral managed care health company covering 11 million lives of Fortune 100 companies; During this period of time my responsibilities included the development of operations growth strategy. This included the opening of 10 regional offices and the recruiting, hiring and training of senior managers for each office. I was instrumental in supporting high profile sales opportunities and had corporate oversight of leadership teams in the areas of provider network development, information systems, and clinical operations.

Responsible for design of community mental health programs in consultation with regional boards and local vendor providers.Provided program evaluation activities related to local providers of mental health services throughout the state of Connecticut.

Responsible for the overall clinical and administrative management of a comprehensive mental health program. Service components included partial hospitalization, vocational rehabilitation, case management services, housing, dual diagnosis, emergency services, and medical psychiatric screening.The programs I developed became the focus of a public television documentary on innovative community based mental health programs.
