Adapted and extended an existing proprietary game engine and toolchain.* Re-implemented Mario Bros., Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr. as a triple-play package on a brand new low-cost coin-op hardware platform. This involved acquiring the original hardware boards, researching chip specs, extracting ROMs and then designing and implementing an emulator capable of operating on comparatively low-end hardware. * Contributed early code, software architecture and technological assistance to a photo booth vending project.* Analyzed, redesigned and rewrote parts of a rendering engine for The Urbz (PS2 game) to meet increased performance requirements.

Contributed specific expertise to others, including a couple versions of Rush and California Speed.Following those, I conceived, designed and helped to code a cross-platform 3D game authoring environment for PS2, XBox and Gamecube, including the rendering engine, in-game file/resource management, audio support and build system. For this project, my coding focii were on the cross-platform API spec and vector math library, the PS2 rendering engine and the toolchain for importing 3D models, animations and images. I led a six-member team for this effort. -
