Senior most engineering leader (third level manager, reporting to business leader) for In-Sight Products, as well as technical site lead with ~50 employees. Tasked with spearheading and owning the merger of the software architectures of Cognex’s two largest grossing products.

Group Leader of electrical, mechanical, and embedded software engineering teams responsible for developing all the hardware products in the In-Sight family of general purpose embedded machine vision devices.

Maintained leadership of embedded firmware engineering team and was the main "Technical Shepherd" for new In-Sight hardware platforms, acting as the primary technical interface between engineering, marketing, and operations.

Managed the entire In-Sight firmware engineering team (10 engineers) responsible for implementing all firmware (from low level drivers to machine vision algorithm deployments) that ran on the company's general purpose, embedded machine vision device. Continued to lead SQA team of 6 engineers. Helped create and hire a team of firmware engineers at our new.

• Doubled size of SQA team by hiring software engineers during automation initiative, as we strove to automate all firmware testing.
• Guided the creation of a new automation suite and results back end for new product line.

• Lead engineer in test automation creation for network interface and protocols on embedded machine vision device.
• Developed test automation for company's latest machine vision algorithms.

• First technical point of contact for reproducing and resolving bugs submitted by Intel's largest corporate customers of their network interface devices.
• Part of first team working on Intel's emerging 10Gigabit Ethernet over fiber network cards.

• While working on Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, became one of the first 15 employees at this Intel funded startup company focused on digital rights management for video.
• Optimized product's key agent (written in C++) to increase performance by an order of magnitude, as well as improve product robustness.

• During senior year of high school, worked full time in Intel's Internet Multimedia Trials group, responsible for creating an architectural pathway for multimedia content on the internet.
• Created automated tests to benchmark network and internet backbone performance with our partners, MCI/Verizon and Cisco.
