Packaging Machine Operator-Set up and operate multiple packaging machines to ensure accurate code dates and weights and that the correct product is put into correct bags-Ensure that each batch is properly coded, dates and sealed with a minimum amount of wasted products and supplies-Test package and ensure quality index including packaging quality, box labels, prices, dates and registration-Responsible for ensuring that the product to be packed remains clean-Keeps assigned machines and area clean and safe-Perform basic preventative maintenance on packaging machines, to include cleaning and changing knives/blades, pull belts, tape machines and rollers-Responsible for inspecting conveyers and scales prior to line start-up and changeovers-Clean and sanitize lines during changeovers from one product to anotherPacker:-Perform sensory quality control checks to verify appearance code date, seal and case-Make up and fold cartons, close cartons, and stack them on a pallet for transfer-Operate semi-automated packaging equipment including being able to read a computer screen, resetting equipment after jams, and perform simple troubleshooting tasks to keep the line running.
