I clean, wrangle, analyze, build the data visualizations, provide statistical insights, and actively contribute to publications at the Small Firm Diaries project. We explore how financial services can improve the lives of poor households in multiple countries through proper stimuli to small firms.

I performed big data manipulation, dashboard building, and A/B testing (with pySpark and PostgreSql through Databricks) to optimize US McDonald's advertisement efforts on a daily basis. Furthermore, I presented the results to a non-technical stakeholder audience weekly.

I train new hires on how to effectively engage with the Campaign Manager role.

I build reports for one of the biggest social media platforms Media Strategy and Operations department. I share those reports insights with the Account Managers from premium advertisers to guide their marketing decision-making regarding spend, pacing, search queries, campaign strategies, ads quality, among others.

I was responsible of the quantitative aspect of a research on Accelerating Women-Led Ventures in Latin America. I am building mixed effects (multilevel) models to analyze whether there is an impact of cultural values, psychosocial factors and socioeconomic conditions on entrepreneurial gender gap.

I co-hosted a Data Analysis with R course where I taught programming to undergraduate students, graduate students and alumni from Universidad del Norte. Moreover, I led a team adjoint to the Economics Department Data Analysis Lab with the main task to develop dashboards with R-Shiny.

Conducted macroeconomic and market analysis, built reports, and provided decision-making recommendations to Vecol, an important agroindustrial firm in Colombia, leader in production of vaccines against foot-and-mouth disease.

I worked alongside high-level policymakers in the Directorate of Sustainable Rural Development, conducting data analysis and literature reviews about rural development. Also, I programmed a web app with R to automate plot generation using data from an official crop production database, and collaborated with the literature review of an institutional public policy document that evaluated the levy funds’ quality of expenditure in Colombia from the 1980s until 2019.
