Devised solutions to simplify network management and increase functional redundancy across cloud networks. Participated in Sun merger and acquisition discovery activities related to technology acquisition. Designed and deployed Asterisk and Cisco VOIP hardware solution terminating multiple voice DS3s and integration with Asterisk to be used for business unit conference calling that gave us significant cost savings over outsourced solutions. Developed architecture and design for network Infrastructure and remote management capability for “Project Blackbox” prototypes, later released as the Sun MD20 Modular Data Center product. Key contributor to the development and deployment of the Sun Grid security architecture. Selected to mentor engineers in trouble in other business units as part of the Sun Microsystems Engineering Mentor Program based on my status as a principal engineer and having consistently achieved the highest possible employee review rating for every review until Sun, proper, ceased to exist.
