Acted in the capacity of a research scientist to develop small molecules targeting high interest immuno-oncology pathways.• Co-invented a novel EGFR inhibitor scaffold and developed IP for this technology.• Developed three separate classes of selective small molecule inhibitors targeting MER tyrosine kinase, a protein implicated in cancer mediated immune evasion, and developed intellectual property for this technology. • Discovered three new classes of non-CDN (cyclic dinucleotide) STING agonists and developed a potential first in-class small molecule modulator of this pathway.• Co-wrote and published 7 provisional patents, 2 of which have been successfully filed as world patents.• Worked with cross-functional teams including: biologists, immunologists and chemists, which facilitated a smooth workflow and increased collaboration.• Provided input into the selection of immune targets for small molecule modulation and assessed their viability, which expanded the pipeline of technologies offered by Trillium.
