xEMU NASA Space Suit prototype builds. Sole builder for many deliverable units to NASA for pressure and integration testing. Worked directly with design engineers on transferring work to the larger, and more complicated mold system. Also included with the work, was Traveler(SOP) creation, traceability, and material testing.TuFF (Tailored Uniform Feedstock for Forming. Helped in all aspects of getting the worlds first broad-good short aligned fiber system in place, including production, prepreg production, and forming work. Was able to achieve 40% strain with prepreg material using vacuum and little pressure. Since then, I have been working on several ULI projects involving use-cases with TuFF prepreg material.Like the xEMU Space Suit work, helped set up travelers for more consistent material generation, and prepreg material production.

Research Associate 2: DARPA Warrior Web – Actively controlled upper body brace for military vest/backpack support.CERDEC Integrated Antenna Placement – Replacing existing antennas of armored vehicles with integrated antennas into the body of the truck. Preliminary research on adding external cable routing to imbedded antennas through armor without lowering armor effectiveness.Joint-Strike Fighter – Primary technician to incorporate quick cure RAM material to cover aircraft skin rivets using novel techniques.ONR Quick cure brackets – Designed system to quick cure threaded studs for ship production. RF and IR heating.ONR Passive multi-functional composites – Integrate electrical aspects into composite structure to minimize external parts.Structure health monitoring – Embedded active circuit designs into composite structure to monitor damage sensing.JEM Engineering – Ballistic Radome design for LANDSAT comm systems. Composite antenna applications and radome support.Induction welded composite bonding - Quick homogeneous bonding application using specific RF induction welding to minimize epoxy bond times, and secondary bond line issues.Various:Primary design of quick turnaround time thermoplastic hard armor systems with ceramic protection.Focused research on copper clad composite mechanical properties.Extrusion of functional thermoplastics for passive RF functionality and beam shaping.SAMPE Wing-Bridge competition. Helped SAMPE team to first place wins for bridge building.Trainer/Lab Safety:Train personnel for use on autoclave, 150 ton hot press, all ovens, HAAKE lab plastic extruder, pre-preg layup techniques, VARTM processing and general machine shop/lab procedures.

Composite Technician: Layup for composite radomes, parabolic dishes, support structures, and high-power antenna systems:2 foot and primary design of collapsible 4 foot parabolic dish.General Dynamics: Compass Call antenna system support structure, including application of structure onto antenna system until deliverable product.Large scale antenna rotator housings. Secondary design for production applications after primary design. New employee training for composite part production. Traceability and QC/QA of finalized products. Ordered all parts, materials, consumables, equipment repairs. Machined and post-process finishing parts before send off.Safety Officer: Kept company OSHA compliant with monthly reports and safety checks and fixes. Purchased and installed any safety equipment needed.Quality Control:Inspected several military antenna systems for QA/QC from incoming parts to final product testing.VSWR and calibration of final product. ISO internal auditor: Trained and certified in doing internal quality assurance audits.
