I am proficient in the use of the autoclave, hot press, wet lay-up, pre-preg (thermoset and plastic), and various forms of VARTM manufacturing processes for composite materials. I have processed materials using IR heat, RF induction, thermoforming, and others. Being in research allows me to vary my processes constantly, and push through many challenges for each project. Not only that, but being able to create work and assembly travelers, and make awesome people like NASA happy! Along with processing the parts, doing mechanical testing is also another skill I have.

Sole builder for many deliverable units to NASA for pressure and integration testing. Worked directly with design engineers on transferring work to the larger, and more complicated mold system. Also included with the work, was Traveler(SOP) creation, traceability, and material testing.TuFF (Tailored Uniform Feedstock for Forming. Helped in all aspects of getting the worlds first broad-good short aligned fiber system in place, including production, prepreg production, and forming work. Was able to achieve 40% strain with prepreg material using vacuum and little pressure. Since then, I have been working on several ULI projects involving use-cases with TuFF prepreg material.Like the xEMU Space Suit work, helped set up travelers for more consistent material generation, and prepreg material production. -
