David has over 30 years of experience as a financial actuary in both Europe and America. In his most recent position as VP, Valuation for Pacific Life’s Consumer Markets Division, David was responsible for valuation and financial management of Pacific Life’s variable, fixed and indexed life and annuity products. A long-time volunteer in the actuarial profession, David most recently served on the SOA Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, and previously was a member of the SOA/CAS Joint Council on Equity, Inclusion and Diversity (JCEID). David was the chair of the Leadership and Development Section Council, and was an officer of the Financial Reporting Section Council.David is an Eagle Scout, a lifelong BSA volunteer and a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts of the USA. He currently serves as Scoutmaster for a BSA troop and a Girl Scout troop leader. The troops are proud to welcome all youth and provide them a safe space for them to live as their authentic selves. David has two Eagle Scout children, one of whom earned the Girl Scout Silver award.
