Literary a life time in road passenger transport, after being born within a family coach business, then later mini cabbing, operating a self employment/licenced cab office with my own nine seat Ford Tourneo. After which working for Hertfordshire County Transport as a driver/escort for a number of years. A short employment as a bus driver for the UNO bus company at Hatfield where I had to be laid off due to my back, Finally rail replacement driving - part time with Sullivan Buses for just under three years. Hence quite a good base and experience for writing about the subject or alternatively offering help if need be?In recent years decided I needed to "expand" the work alternative and whenever possible apply for public survey and enumerator work of which I have done so since 2018 for a number of companies. However, most of my time is used primarily for Alfa Travel at the South Mimms service hub where I supervise and work within the environment of the feeder and tour coaches coming in and going out mostly throughout the year. This is ongoing and must admit never thought I work for another coach company when my family's company liquidated back in 1991. In between Alfa, the writing of self publication comes about due to my obvious former and ongoing interest in road passenger transport as well as also cycling that has been my sport for fifty years or more - as noted on my website.
