• Utilising a variety of tools and processes in order to harden the ship, ensuring all windows and doors in particular have appropriate levels of security• Completing comprehensive reviews of all security within the ship in order to effectively identify areas of vulnerability and initiating the implementation remedial actions in conjunction with the Captain• Providing briefings and reports for the Captain and the crew in order to communicate procedures in the event of an attack, conducting testing of procedures and practicing protocol• Providing 24 hour armed watches in conjunction with the team to ensure a safe transit of the ship, crew and cargo• Completing safe transits between Egypt, Sri Lanka, Muscat and Madagascar within the high-risk and challenging waters facing piracy in areas including The Gulf Of Aden, The Red Sea, The Indian Ocean and The Arabian Sea. Ensuring suspicious craft were repelled with an armed and vigilant presence on the bridge wings• An effective and dedicated member of a close troop of marines with individual responsibility as the Corporal or within the fire team depending on the requirements of the squadronCompleting tours and deployments to various conflicts in United Nations and peace-keeping roles within a number of hostile environments
