The Chief Information Officer has overall responsibility for the college's technology, information technology operations and leads the department of information technology. • Develop and implement the strategic plan for information technology.• Establish annual departmental goals and regularly assess progress toward those goals.• Measure the effectiveness of departmental programs and initiatives on a regular basis.• Manage and provide appropriate training and professional development opportunities for the OIT staff.• Administer information technology budget and oversee the purchase of information technology products and services.• Establish standards for technology equipment and related items and services.• Formulate and administer information technology policies and procedures including disaster recovery plans. • Identify, evaluate and recommend emerging technologies appropriate for use at the college.• Provide leadership in the promotion and communication of information technology support, services and projects.• Oversee compliance with information security regulations.• Collaborate on providing assurance and guidance on information privacy, security and compliance with financial implication.

Overall responsibility for the college's computer, data, voice and video systems, operations and services - id cards, radio's, security of systems, programming, and infrastructure.

Previously held Unix/Windows System Administrator position at LVC.

Managed all servers, unix and windows. Worked closely with the Information Management team on projects, coding, and servers. Was a member of the LVC Webteam. Served as a lead on the Disaster Recovery Team, and managed all tape backups and restoration as well as all emergency services for IT Services.
