Our Equity Funding Instrument (EFI) can be used to reduce the amount of debt used to buy a home, or to extract equity from a home. We are currently utilizing the EFI as a non-debt alternative to reverse mortgages, and as a non-debt home financing vehicle through our Home Achiever Program where we offer teachers, nurses and emergency responders an affordable alternative to live in or near the communities they serve. EquiFi reduces debt as we co-invest with the homeowner and then manage pools of these fractional interest for investors seeking to invest in homes through a diversified fractional approach. Previous Position: CEO of The Brix Group, Inc. one of the top 15 privately held companies in the Silicon Valley. With the company under a forbearance agreement after the death of the CEO, Shapiro led a turnaround of the two operating subsidiaries; American Wireless and Pana Pacific. Under Shapiro's leadership gross product margins increased from 11% to over 18% and revenues doubled in three years from $100MM to over $200MM.Background: Serial entrepreneur and turnaround expert having built four businesses, two of which have been sold to Fortune 500 companies (Safeco, Wells Fargo).
