CurrentDr. Smith has provided expert testimony in criminal and civil antitrust trials in the following industries: insurance, milk, moving and storage services, plastics, rendering, retail services, and rubber products. Dr. Smith also advised the Governments of Argentina, Canada, Panama, and Puerto Rico on the writing and enforcing of their antitrust laws. In addition, he has taught economics at the University of Michigan and George Washington University. Dr. Smith has analyzed competitive issues in a wide variety of industries including automotive, banking, brewing, building materials, consumer goods, dairy products, electricity, electronics/computers, food/agriculture, hospitals, insurance, media/advertising, medical goods and services, petroleum products, pharmaceuticals, plastics, retail products, transportation, and waste removal.
