Supervises and writes the fire protection preventive maintenance program in accordance with NFPA standards, Florida State Statue and Fire Prevention Code. Supervises instrumentation and control functions and participates in maintaining equipment by overseeing skilled Technicians. Reviews all inspections and test reports to insure State certification requirements. Assigns and oversees daily work assignments. Responsible for 115 Sprinkler systems, 71 Fire alarm systems, 27 Residential hood systems, 12 Pre-engineered systems, 2 Diesel Fire pumps, 2 Electric Fire pumps and 4 Engineered systems.Prepares reports and maintains records of inspections, test and maintenance activities.Contractor II Certificate of Competency for State of Florida since February 1998.State of Florida Fire Equipment Dealer license since March 1999 type 07 class 03

Mcintosh Power Plant

Was promoted to Power Production Foreman responsible for the Fire Team.This is supervisory and highly technical work in supervising the execution of contracts requiring the ability to layout, fabricate and installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of all types of Fire protection equipment, Fire alarm equipment and electrical equipment used in a multifueled (oil, gas coal, and refuse) power generating facility. As an employee in this position I was responsible for supervising the everyday functions of an internal business associated with the Fire Sprinkler Protection and Fire Alarm Maintenance industry.During my tenure as the Fire Protection Foreman I was ask to give a quote to perform all the inspection and testing of Fire Protection systems and fire alarm panels throughout all City of Lakeland buildings. In January1999 we took over the maintenance contract for the City of Lakeland buildings. I continued writing the preventive program for all locations and continued upgrading our program.

Mcintosh Power Plant

Worker my way up from Auxiliary operator to Station Electrician II. Was a member of the McIntosh Swat Team who was responsible for making repairs to various electrical and mechanical systems during the U3 Coal fired power plant startup. Was then assigned to the Fire Team responsible for all fire protection systems at McIntosh Power Plant. Wrote the PM program for the fire alarm systems and sprinkler systems. Started out building relay logic panels to monitor our sprinkler system to report back to an annunciator located in our main control room. After we got the relay logic panels up and operating we used the NFPA codes to our advantage to start Installing actual Fire alarm panels throughout the plant area to monitor critical equipment and activate sprinkler systems when needed or required. Supervised the installation of the fire suppression systems and alarm system at Larsen Plant. Installed the fire protection sensing system to monitor 13 cells on U3 Cooling tower. Was responsible for performing the weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual and 5 year maintenance on 54 sprinkler systems to include wet pipe systems, dry pipe systems, pre-action systems and deluge systems. Also responsible for the inspection and testing of 49 fire alarm panels. To include a few: FCI, Edwards, Chemetronics Micro 1 EV Microprocessor Fire Alarm Panel, Silent knight, Kidde, Sensiscan 2000 Programmable Fire Alarm Panel and Pyrotronics Fire Alarm Panels.

Received the Department of the Army Commendation Medal for these programs and administrative upgrades June of 1978. Transferred to the 581st Maintenance Company in 1978.
