David Speake is a Lead Consultant at Engage Consulting. He is proficient in German and French. Colleagues describe him as "I have known David for many years, originally as a Legal & Regulatory lead for Smart Metering whilst I was a Project Manager and secondly in the last two years where we worked together in the Smart Mandate team. David's main responsibilities were scoping and supporting our Smart Metering rollout strategy and writing the bulk of our reporting submissions for BEIS and OFGEM amongst others and being a point of contact for these businesses. David has also written several business policies which have been rolled out, driving performance improvements and ensuring BG is compliant with its Smart Meter rollout. David has a gift with how he communicates both verbally and in written form and grabs full stakeholder attention when presenting. Finally, David has a sharp mind and a very logical approach to problem solving. He is a very supportive colleague and is incredibly humorous which he uses to create a stronger team bond. David was well liked and respected and a go to person for any regulatory or compliant issue particularly around Smart Metering. "
