I graduated from the University of California, Irvine in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. I worked three summers as a Design Engineering intern with Northrop Grumman, supporting NASA's next-generation infrared telescope, the James Webb Space Telescope as well a restricted program. Prior to this, I worked as a part-time intern in the California Institute of Technology's Space Radiation Laboratory. I assisted in the development of a scientific instrument currently flying aboard NASA's Parker Solar Probe Spacecraft. Since graduating, I have continued to support restricted work as a design engineer with Northrop Grumman, working on deployable structures and space vehicle bus hardware.Ultimately, I hope to further the development of spaceflight technologies throughout my career. I am passionate about space exploration and aerospace technology.

Structural Engineer for the UC Irvine Rocket Project. The current goal is to design and manufacture a Liquid Methane and Liquid Oxygen bi-propellant rocket capable of reaching an altitude of 45,000 feet. The Structures team is responsible for designing the rocket's propellant tanks, airframe, aerodynamic components (fins and nose cone), cryogenic plumbing systems, and any structures needed for testing operations such as a static fire test stand to test our engine.- Material characterization for our propellant tanks and studying the effects of cryogenic temperatures- Performed FEA studies using ANSYS AIM and SolidWorks on different propellant tanks designs to predict structural behavior under launch and flight conditions- Researched and selected insulating materials to minimize propellant boil-off- Assisted in designing a plumbing system that would meet the temperature and pressure requirements of our system while delivering Liquid Methane and Liquid Oxygen to the engine- Participated in a static fire test attempt (unsuccessful) of our team's liquid-fuel rocket engine at the Friends of Amateur Rocketry (FAR) test site in the Mojave Desert. I supported hardware setup and assembly activities and was one of the qualified members of the team to load cryogenic propellants.

I supported the Optical Telescope Element (OTE) of NASA's James Webb Space Telescope. My focus was on the Secondary Mirror Support Structure of the OTE. I worked with both deployable and non-mechanical systems. As a design engineering intern, I was tasked with helping create and implement solutions to hardware design issues. I also supported testing activities and generated test documentation.-Extensive use of parametric and direct modeling in CATIA V5 to generate models for manufacturing-Utilized additive manufacturing capabilities for rapid prototyping of designs due to the low costs and shortened turnaround period when compared to machining times.- Generated test requests/test procedures for Observatory-level testing. The test documentation provided details on test objectives, hardware setups, procedures, reference drawings and documents, required instrumentation, required data, and pass/fail criteria- Designed new hardware based on existing flight hardware in order to improve performance during vibration testing. Using a baseline design, I produced a variety of design iterations. I also designed new test fixtures to support test operations. I generated the test documentation and participated in vibration testing.- Worked in a fabrication shop to assemble hardware for testing or use by other engineers

I assisted in laboratory work related to the development of electronic hardware for a scientific instrument called the Energetic Particle Instrument - Hi (EPI-Hi). EPI-Hi is flying aboard NASA's Parker Solar Probe Spacecraft being used in Solar Heliophysics research.
