Incorporating this type of approach in a geographically distributed and virtually managed organization can provide significant benefits by promoting a smart forum with a goal to drive final analysis of influence and intelligence in a particular area.Foresight on Demand was built with a custom made PHP-framework for the front end, Smarty for templating, with jQuery-powered transitions / effects. The back end consisted of Java and PostgreSQL. My responsibilities were mostly adding new functionality to the PHP framework, as well as redesigning / adding some interfaces on the front-end.We have now created a revamped version of this platform which we call Huunu. Huunu is based on Ruby on Rails, with SaaS delivery.
