In the classroom, my responsibilities include classroom and behaviour management, planning and assessment.Within the school, my responsibilities include working in partnership with all staff and stakeholders to help meet the learners' needs, developing the school curriculum and being involved with clubs and projects out of the classroom.Personally, my responsibilities include involvement with staff development, maintaining an up to date CPD profile, attending CPD sessions and continually reflecting on my classroom practice and its impact for learners.

My role as head teacher had 2 main objectives: to ensure the quality of the lessons taught by the teachers under my supervision were of a high standard, and to provide help and support. I was also asked to provide demonstration classes, observe school classes, and to liaise between my branch in Tokyo and my local board of Education.

My role as a language teacher had 3 main objectives: to teach, engage and motivate primary and junior high school pupils with the language of English. Also, I was required to plan and develop the school and authority English curriculum. Finally, I was to support the pupils and staff during activities outside the classroom, such as festivals, school trips, after school clubs and volunteering activities.
