David Todd is a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer at Zywave at Zywave. Colleagues describe him as "I am a quality assurance analyst, focusing on testing the functional/user facing part of products. I have been fortunate to work alongside Dave for ten years. One of Dave’s greatest strengths is his ability to be both an effective QA engineer and analyst. His career at Zywave started in support. This gave him a solid background with not only our products, but our user’s processes and struggles. When he started in QA, he was given time to first learn functional testing. Dave’s job responsibilities are in QA engineering, but his prior background, as well as training in functional testing, gave him the knowledge to assist with triage and jump into functional testing when needed. Not many analysts are fortunate to work with this type of engineer. Dave works well with developers to find issues, sharing results and brainstorming further testing with them. He is constantly growing and brings an upbeat, positive attitude to the team. He cares about the quality of his work. All these qualities have earned him much respect from the developers, as well as the whole team. Dave analyzes his existing tests to find ways to make them better or more efficient. He also looks for ways he can help by automating some of my processes so that I can focus more on exploratory testing. He is actively involved in team activities and discussions brining a unique perspective to discussions with the balance of knowledge from the UI, technical and support. He is an asset to any team he is on."
