-Researching and publishing relevant journal articles in waste heat recovery, smart manufacturing, industrial efficiency.-Establishing a compressed air workshop for demonstration of air leaks, manufacturing uses, and pressure measurements.-Advising and programming DOE softwares

-Conduct ASHRAE Level I-II energy audits for small and medium sized manufacturing facilities.-Measure and verify plant energy usage patterns through data acquisition and utility bills.-Design, model and analyze mechanical and electrical systems for energy savings solutions including compensation by capacitor bank, upgrading lighting systems, VFD, peak shaving, load shedding, CHP and HVAC systems.-Identify and provide the savings and cost analysis of all practical measures that meet the owner's constraints.-Write official reports detailing energy savings measurements and ROI calculations.

-Hands on application of engineering topics including three phase power and heat and power generation through work on a biomass gasification process that converts plant material into heat, power, and biochar, reducing CO2 emissions. Opportunity came from completion of an honor's experience.

I worked valet as a college job at The Alexander for Elite Management Services. The primary skills I developed are customer service, driving skills in stressful conditions, professional communication, and working as a team.

I started working with my fathers construction crew in middle school, growing up in a small town it was expected. I showed an early talent for math and science that was supplemented by a hands on application of the calculus and trigonometry I was learning in the classroom. Often my dad would make me make my own separate calculations and even allow me to mistakes at his expense so that I could learn. The long hours and projects of all different types gave me time to question the different aspects of a house: what makes it run efficiently, why use this material here, and really fostered an early interest for me in renewable energy. Ultimately my experience in manual labor is invaluable to me as an engineer because it showed me that math really does have real world applications and encouraged me to work as hard as I can in school so that I don't have to work hard with my hands. The applicable skills I have learned from this trade are: simple application of math to the real world, power and hand tools, reading plans, working as a team, long term project management, as well as a simple understanding of how a house is built all the way from the foundation to the roof.

- Won an excellence in Alumni Relations from the national fraternity primarily from the newsletters and social media outreach from my position.- Produce newsletters for chapter members and alumni and forward a copy to the Offices of the Grand Chapter.-Provide information for The Teke magazine about chapter activities.-Safely keep, and transmit to your successor, the chapter scroll.-Take photos or videos of chapter events to record chapter history for each term.-Coordinate the development of composites.-Cooperate with local alumni associations, where they exist, to provide programming for Teke alumni.

Source of income my freshman year in college introduced me to the big city and has served me well as a foot in the door for customer service with driving. Here I learned professional communication, customer service, hard work and driving skills under stressful conditions. My experience at Jimmy Johns helped me get my eventual job as a valet.
