I'm not one to embellish my abilities like you see on so many profiles. If I say I know something, it's because I actually do, not because I read some cliff notes or watched a YouTube video. I don't work hard I try to work smart. I try to always ponder if we can do something in a better way, that results in a better customer experience, or that can achieve better results for my company. I loathe the phrase "we've always done it that way" like that makes it okay?! I don't want to work with people who have "retired in place" and it frustrates me to no end, because it reinforces the stereotype that you shouldn't hire older workers because they don't want to change. I don't need a pat on the back every time I do my job. An occasional "thank you" in private is all I need. I am excited to go to work (almost every day 😂) and can't imagine ever wanting to retire even though I have more than enough projects at home to keep me hopping🐰. Words my friends and my peers have used to describe me: serious, reliable, calm, professional, emotional, passionate, friendly, kind, saved my life (the pluses of having healthcare training), empathetic, down to earth, and professional come to mind. I think life is too short to not have fun at work. Normally my peers become my friends.
