Contract Price/Cost Analyst
Responsible for cost/price analysis, economic analysis, and business case analysis necessary to assess field activity and contractor performance under traditional and alternative methods of contracting for customer support. Reviews and analysis at every level are conducted for: consistency with law and regulation; consistency with the DLA Strategic Plan; and, to ensure that business decisions are sound. The incumbent is responsible for fostering the continuous improvement of DLA's contract pricing processes by introducing creative alternatives and solutions; developing databases and other analytical pricing tools; drafting policies and procedures; and, participating in the development and delivery of training.· Responsible for advising the J-7 procurement Executive (SPE) on the soundness of the contract pricing strategy for individual procurements designated for I-ARB review. Serves as a pricing/business advisor to the Chief, Acquisition Operations and to the SPE. Responsible for providing support to the Chief, Acquisition Operations in assessing the pricing of contracts for a wide variety of products and services procured by DLA’s field contracting offices. The review includes analysis and comparison to contractual terms and conditions, orders at every dollar level and every degree of complexity. The reviews include compliance with the contract pricing structure and strategy. Reviews contracts and programs to assess the compliance with pricing strategy and determine the effectiveness of the pricing strategy used. Develops "lessons-learned" for application during contract administration and in future procurements.
