Successfully managed the migration of all Infrastructure services from Yara to IBM, which included the transition of all IT components throughout Europe. IBM now provides IT support services to Yara following the successful completion of this project. Both EDB and Yara commended EDB’s project team for the professional handling and smooth transition of services.Managed a team upgrading, replacing and reconfiguring all infrastructure components, including 50 Servers, 100 Network devices and 500 PCs from in house support across a number of disparate companies to IS Partner control and support. Set-up support structure of nine Technical Support personnel providing IT services, including the management of personnel located throughout the UK, enabling clients to be supported from more than one location. Set-up a support structure servicing four sites within the Rhine triangle, providing access to IT services to 1000 users through a new call centre with telephony system integration. Hiring personnel for the Service desk and onsite support people in the locations. This project greatly improved the user experience giving them a more focussed IT support offering.Managed and developed a new service structure for clients based in the UK, giving them a focal point for their IT service, providing customers with a single point of contact for all service related issues, which not only improved their access to IT service management, but also helped to bring the companies closer together.Designed, developed and delivered training courses to IT staff throughout EDB’s IT service team, including European employees. Provided desk-side and office based training to end users as and when required.Led team of service personnel to produce a CMDB, covering all applications supported throughout the UK.

Responsibility for all aspects of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks and PCs. Ensuring all aspects of IT within the organisation was available, from power to the server room to application access. IT Budget responsibility. Manage direct reports providing IT services.

Member of the server team, setting up and installing server infrastructure, including Windows and Novell operating systems. Remote roaming support providing IT services throughout the north of England, visiting a range of customers from food production plants to financial institutions.
