Project Manager/Site Agent (July 2023 – October 2024) My work was at St Anne’s College, Oxford where I managed the internal demolition, renovation and decarbonisation project for houses 1-10 Bevington Road. I managed the completion of The Deanery at Christchurch College, Oxford. This was a restoration of the roof and external facades. Thereafter, I had a short term position filling in for the site agent at Wycombe Abbey School managing the alterations and additions to the LAC & PAC Centre. The company required me to go back to Christ Church College in order to complete snagging to guest accommodation at Bachelors Row. I took charge of the fire proofing and fire certification to the mezzanine service areas. I started the initial site setup/scaffolding to the Tom Staircase 7 project. I managed the completion of the refurbishment of the Lower Common Room and the Day Nursery at Wolfson College, Oxford. Responsibilities: • Project manage and work with the site agent.• Responsible for the Document Required Schedule for professional team.• Ran independent sites as a site manager• Co-ordinated project drawings

Bracknell Fire Station was being upgraded and refurbished for the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service. This work was carried out in 3 Phases – Phase 1: internal changes to the main block. Phase 2: breakdown and strip out internals to the mess area. Rebuild to new. Phase 3: demolition of shower and toilet facilities. Rebuild as new. • I took over as construction manager and completed snagging of Phase 1 of the project.• I did the Phase 2 work to the mess area. • I did the Phase 3 work to the toilet and shower blocks. I completed all snag items and decamped from site.

David, was one of the four founding members of E4 Construction (Pty) Ltd. Noakes & Welsh Construction were well versed in conventional brick, concrete and mortar buildings. However, we added Light Steel Frame (LSF) construction to this by joining with LSF partners. E4 Construction had the capability to take conventional Architects drawings and re-engineer them into an LSF building. We had our own design department as well as access to specialist structural engineers that understood the LSF systems.

I was a construction director with E4 Construction. I was responsible for multiple projects at any one time. I interacted with clients, Architects, Engineers, Interior Architects and clients on a regular basis. I was also very involved in the planning, pricing, negotiation or tendering of new work.I was directly managing the site managers and/or foremen.

David, started a Project Management company. This company was to provide project managers to developers wanting to construct their buildings using a Matrix System. This made the Project Manager the pivotal point of the project with the traditional professional team reporting to them. This was an effective way of building as the Client/Project Management team controlled the process from beginning to end.
